Divorced Mom of Two need Home Down Payment

Hello, I am a divorced
mother of two very wonderful children ages 7 and 9. I
recently went through a very finacially draining
divorce. My ex husband has not be made to pay any
child expenses since he is disabled and does not work.
I am raising both children by myself by the grace of
God. My oldest is not biologically mine, he was born
to another woman that had an affair with my husband
shortly after we married. I am a christian and do not
beleive in divorce so I stayed and eventually stepped
in to raise the baby. By the time he was 3 months old
he lived with us full time, as the biological mother
did not want to raise him.

I stayed with my
husband and tried to work on our marriage. In that
time we had our daughter. After numerous affairs, and
years of emotional and some physical abuse I finally
had the courage to leave. I left with a 1 and 3 year
old, no job and $11.00 in my pocket.

I have struggled over
the past few years to further my education and provide
a decent Christian life for my children. I have worked
2 and 3 jobs to make sure they can attend a small
Christian school so that they can be led by the lord
when I can not be with them.

At this time I have
aquired almost $18,000.00 in student loan debt that I
faithfully pay on each month; however with these
payments I see no way of ever being able to save for a
house. Having a home for my children to grow up in is
my dream. I never had that, my parents moved from
apartment to apartment all of my life. I want my
children to have better than that.
I do not have any high credit card debt, nor do I
squander my money away. I have always taken pride in
being very sensible and frugal so that my children
learn the value of quality not quantity.

I am reaching out to
any and all that may be able to help me in paying off
some of my debt so that I may work hard at saving for
a new home.
