Need help for transition surgery and debt
reduction
 | My life has been one
of many challenges. Most of my life was pretty
standard although I grew up without understanding what
friendship was or how it worked until I was in my
early 20s. I have a love for all animals and have a
few cats who take pleasure in shedding on me on a
daily basis. My hobbies include geeking (with a
specific bent towards security), reading (non-fiction
and fiction but no romance or westerns), enjoying TV
and movies (love a good "criminal" type
show) and long distance cycling (although I haven't
done any this year, I'm hoping that I'll be able to
plan better for next year). |
| Things for me took a
drastic turn when I was 22 and my mother was beaten to
death by her partner. This singular event changed the
way I looked at life and changed my path from wanting
to be a diplomatic to wanting to be a geek. Although I
had completed my bachelor's of political science from
Carleton University (Ottawa), I went and successfully
completed an intensive 6-month training program that
turned me into a nifty NT MCSE and IT administrator at
the school I had learned my skills at. My ability to
take and connect with others was profound and it
eventually led me to my present career as a
professional corporate IT instructor. I'm proud to say
that I'm successful at this but it did come with a
price. |
| As life did it's
twists and turns professionally so did my personal
life. In 2005 I ended a loveless 12-year relationship
and re-evaluated where I was going and what makes me
happy. As a result, I came to a few realizations about
myself. The most recent profound one was that the body
I was born into wasn't what I feel the most
comfortable in. And to that end, at my present age of
38, I have begun the process of transforming myself so
that what I've always viewed myself as is, in fact,
that image.

| So here I am, deep in
debt due to my desire to be successful work wise and
unable to fund the necessary surgeries to make my
personal life finally successful. |
