Please donate to us. Our house needs expensive asbestos removal of the air ducts. Our house also needs a new humidity controlled heating and air unit installed to control the mildew and mold.  

All of our closets and some walls and ceilings mildew and mold.  All of our bedrooms stink of mold and mildew.  This is not healthy for us to breathe.  We did not see any mildew or mold before we bought the house because the seller painted over it.  

The realator nor our home inspector pointed out the white asbestos tape wrapped on the heating and air ducts.  So we purchased the house not knowing it has asbestos or mold in it. Since we moved in I now have allergies and asthma.  My immune system was already weak due to other health issues.  I have Multiple Sclerosis, Optic Neuritis, degenerative disc disease, low back pain, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, incontinence, panic and anxiety and other health issues. I may not look disabled but I am.  

I can not work.   My husband, although he does work, is in pain everyday.  He has had two low back surgeries.  Both his knees are in need of total knee replacements.  However, because he is only 49, his doctor that did his knee surgery, suggest waiting until he is older to do the knee replacements.  So, every step he takes he is in pain.  He even walks with a limp.  Then to add to my husbands work load he has to care for his handicapped mother.  He takes her to her doctors, buys her groceries, does her yard work and just whatever else she needs done. 

So, he not only has to run me to doctors, buy our groceries and keep up our yard, he has to work and take care of his mother to. There is no time left for him to work a second job.  He just physically could not do it.  Because we have a first and second mortgage and other loans, we have no more money left to pay another loan.  We do not have extra money.  We live pay check to pay check.  We do not have emergency money or a savings account.  So, due to our house making me sicker, I am asking for help.  Any donation will be greatly appreciated.  

Maybe, by reading our story, you can keep yourself or a loved one from buying a house full of asbestos.  Know that in the United States that most houses built in 1980 and prior may have asbestos material in them.  Our government says as long as you do not have to disturb the asbestos material you should not be exposed.  But at some point those houses will need repairs.  Know that asbestos could be in the roofing shingles, siding shingles, attic installation, sheet rock mud, old vinyl floors, white tape wrapped on the heating and air ducts or other home building materials.  So before you buy a house educate yourself about asbestos.  G

o to your internet and pull up OSHA ASBESTOS and learn about the danger of removing asbestos from your house.  Then search for asbestos in homes web site and read what to look for and how to protect yourself.  Do not be like us.  Do not expect your Realator or Home Inspector to point out the asbestos.  They will not.  If they did, the Seller would have to pay an asbestos abatement company to remove it by law. This would cost the Seller thousands to remove the asbestos.
